1. It is used as low boiling point solvent and plastic industrial foaming agent. It is also used together with 2-methylbutane for automobile and aircraft fuel, artificial ice, anesthetic, synthetic pentanol, isopentane and so on.

2. Gas chromatographic analysis standards. Used as an anesthetic, solvent, cryogenic thermometer manufacturing and for the manufacture of artificial ice, pentanol, isopentane and the like.

3. For the preparation of standard gas, calibration gas and molecular sieve desorbent.

4. Used as a solvent, gas chromatography reference solution and anesthetic agent. Also used in organic synthesis and manufacturing cryogenic thermometers.

5. Used as a solvent for the manufacture of artificial ice, anesthetic agents, synthesis of amyl alcohol, isopentane and the like.
